Carbon Dioxide is a colourless, odourless, non flammable gas that is used for various medical purposes. It is formed by the burning of hydrocarbon with air, the fermentation of liquids and as a by-product from chemical processes. It doesn’t sustain life. At -78.5°C it freezes to form Carbon Dioxide snow.

  • Used to create close-to-physiologic atmospheres for the operation of artificial organs and in cryosurgery with insufflators during laparoscopic surgery.
  • For cry therapy or for local analgesia by external application onto the skin surface.
  • Is a component in respiratory stimulant oxygen mixture to promote deep breathing.
  • For injection into body cavities during surgical procedures.
